AEROMOMENTUM AM10 AIRBOAT ENGINE
UPDATE – WE HAD THIS ENGINE WORKING ON THE DYNO, BUT THEN WE SAW IT NEEDED SOME CHANGES AND WE HAVE NOT YET GOTTEN THE TIME TO MAKE THEM. IF WE GOT 10 ORDERS WITH $1K DEPOSIT FOR $10K – WE WOULD COMMITT THE TIME TO MAKING IT WITHIN THE YEAR. BUT NOT AS OF NOW.
The AM10 engine is a 1.0 liter 3 cylider automotive engine of 85 hp converted to airboat use. This engine is comparable in power and/or weight to the Rotax 582. Built in upright version. They are mostly used in trikes, light twins and replica airboat that require a narrow engine package.
All of our engines are assemble by us from all new parts. We never use any unknown JDM, used, “rebuilt”, “on condition” or other junk yard parts by any name. Why buy a used engine when you can buy all new for less.

The AM10 is the cost effective alternative to the Rotax 582 and other similar airboat engines. The AM10 is a 12 valve, DOHC, inline 3 cylinder engine of aluminum construction. Like the Rotax engines the AM10 utilizes gear reduction to provide efficient power in a small light weight package but at a low propeller RPM. The AM10’s fuel and ignition are controlled by a FADEC system for simplicity of operation and outstanding fuel economy. At economy 55% power cruise the fuel consumption is an ultra low 0.39 lbs/hp/hr providing a fuel flow of just 2.68 gal/hr! Add to this the ability to run on auto fuel and your operating costs drop dramatically.
